Smile Hub Dental Accepts Patients
in CDCP Program
Smile Hub Dental is happy to announce that it now welcomes patients enrolled in the Community Dental Care Program (CDCP). This program aims to offer affordable dental care to individuals and families with financial barriers. By participating in the CDCP, Smile Hub Dental hopes to ensure that more people can access important dental services, promoting better oral health in the community.
CDCP Program Who's Eligible?
As of September 2024, to qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You do not have access to dental insurance.
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000.
- You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
- You have filed your tax return for the previous year.
Note: All eligibility criteria must be met to participate in the CDCP.
When to Apply for the CDCP
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is rolling out in phases. Before applying, ensure you meet all four eligibility criteria. Refer to the schedule below to determine when you can apply:
- Aged 65 or older: now
- Adults with a valid federal Disability Tax Credit (2023): now
- Children under the age of 18: now
- All other eligible residents: in 2025
Covered Services
Here are services that could be covered by CDCP when recommended by an oral health provider:
- Diagnostic and Preventive Services
- Basic Services
- Major Services
- Anesthesia or Sedation Services
